I took him to the pool here and he made most of it freeze up. Said that you were going to teach him fire next, but we didn't think it was a great idea to try now, in a wooden boat.
[Off-topic. She stops herself, because they are definitely talking about more important things. She scoots over so she can lean against his shoulder, pulling his cloak around her too.]
My teacher started me with ice. It's safest. Relatively. Then wind. Then fire. Tell me more about him. What did he say about how he lives? Is he happy?
[He grins, warm and inviting in a smile meant only for Sypha. Trevor draws his arm around her]
He definitely seems it. I had taken him hunting for rabbits the day before, and the day he came here he was supposed to be taking history lessons with you and purposely got lost instead.
[It's absent, the way her hand touches her stomach. There's nothing to feel, no bump.]
If he was an illusion, and I am not believing he was, because- I knew he was here. I don't feel as if I were gone at all, but the moment I returned, I knew he had been here, had spent time here. But if he was an illusion, why?
That's what I thought too, the first time I saw him. I shouted at him about his wife kicking him out of Hell, and when he didn't try to rip my head off or even attack me, I figured it was just an illusion.
Maybe you showing up is what pushed him over the line. Whatever the line is. [A poke in the ribs.] Dracula couldn't let himself be in the same straits as a Belmont.

Sorry you didn't get to see him yet.

Weird to think I'm destined to get out of here and raise him. That, or the fucking Necromancer conjured up the cruelest illusion.

I mean. Simon was very tempting. And his sister.

Date: 2022-06-01 11:21 am (UTC)Or that he calls that broody vampire Uncle Adrian?
Or that I might have...inadvertantly named Dracula an honorary grandfather?
Sorry. It's a lot.
