I haven't been remaining unpaired by choice. Although I suspect the Admiral might feel I have been too focused on the library.

My permanent warden Nita has vanished in port. I desire to be useful and I am courting a number of permanently-unpaired wardens to help the Admiral see that I am useful.

[Sypha's sorting through a small stack of returned books, but sets them aside as soon as Kikimora comes in. A gesture from her makes icy steps up to the other stool behind her desk, textured enough to be safe.]

[Fascinated by this casual display of power from what she had previously ignored as a human, Kikimora climbs cautiously up the steps, preening]

[Hmm. Sypha tilts her head in thought. In the moment of silence, there's a papery rustle in the half-open drawer near her knee, but she ignores it. Theoris can get out of the files when she wants to.]

You did have a permanent warden. Do you still have your file?

Yes. If the Admiral kept it around for me, it ought to be in my room...

[She picks up a clawed foot, unsure, and starts hunting for whatever's making that strange noise]

[The little lion makes a little chuffing noise as she sticks her head out, sniffing towards the demon with narrowed eyes. Sypha absently reaches down to rub behind a tiny ear.]
