Just as a note: Misty Quigley is barred from the library from the time being. Mostly for harassing the patrons and refusing to leave, but also for stabbing me. I hope you don't object to that?

Well, I mean, if you had objections, I'd certainly hear them. We run this place together, after all.

[ A short, awkward pause. ]

Ah. Yes, yes, I'm all right. Honestly, I was healed as I pulled out the knife. Nothing to worry about. A ruined shirt is the only casualty.

Hurts like the dickens, but that's really for the best.

It's-

[ All right, she has a point. ]

...it's our library.

[ He clears his throat. ]

No, I don't think she did. And she kept fighting to try and stay.

Pure bullheaded nonsense.

She wanted to harass people who were just minding their own business. They said no. She insisted on continuing. They said no again and tried to remove themselves from the situation. She started to follow. They got annoyed and it became a matter of her threatening them for, in her words 'impeding her investigation', which, of course, means bugger all.

They claimed they weren't intimidated. She started throwing books around and yanking them off shelves. They tried to then remove her from the library, she attacked, they put her down and that was when I stepped in. I gave her multiple chances to leave, multiple warnings, and she insisted on trying to attack the person in question. Which was when I gave her a spook, a taste of one of my experiences, she stabbed me, and I compelled her to march out.

Quite.

[ A sigh.]

Not particularly. It was Tim, who did his own share of button pushing though I’ve spoken to him and he never at any point moved towards actually violence against her.

She came at him entirely wrong, however, and… thus he reacted poorly.

I expect her warden, and I can hardly blame him, given everything going on here.

He didn't seem miffed that I'd kept it.
